First promotion

Written by Kalakini CC at 18:20 15/5-2012

Kalakin today expressed his delight and surprise at the unexpected promotion of his young British team to the heady heights of Division 7. Ever the eternal pessimist though, in between large gulps of a very cheap Asti (budget contraints don't allow for cava let alone champagne), he urged a note of caution.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm very proud of the lads. It's just that I'm not sure that they're quite ready for a step up in quality just yet. I was hoping to let Rex develop a bit more at the training centre before we let him loose on some of the higher division races. Ah well, I suppose mustn't grumble and all that. Let's see how they get on, it could be the making of them."
